Sisters Network Dallas

Sisters Network Dallas is an affiliate chapter of Sisters Network® Inc., a leading voice and the only national African American breast cancer survivorship organization in the United States.

Sisters Network Dallas is a community-based organization made up of African American breast cancer survivors. Founded in June of 2005, we saw an urgent need to unite with other survivors, communities, and health care professionals in the fight against breast cancer.

Coalition for breast cancer Awareness Resources & Education

Sisters Network Dallas’ Coalition for breast cancer Awareness Resources & Education (C.A.R.E.) is the vehicle by which the affiliate chapter establishes partnerships with local churches and organizations in the Dallas area.  Members of C.A.R.E. agree to:

  •  Assist the Dallas affiliate chapter in its efforts to educate, support and address the needs of African American women who are survivors of breast cancer.
  •  Directly support the chapter’s various outreach, program and fundraising initiatives as it strives to “Stop the Silence” regarding breast cancer’s impact on the African American community.
  •  Serve as an ambassador for Sisters Network Dallas to breast cancer survivors within their respective church congregations and local communities.

The Dallas affiliate chapter hosts an annual brunch which serves as an educational forum for prospective C.A.R.E. members.  Attendees receive information promoting breast cancer awareness and are encouraged to join Sisters Network Dallas as it seeks to elevate the facts of breast cancer above the myths and provide spiritual, logistical and psychosocial support to those affected by a breast cancer in Dallas and Collin Counties.
