The Dallas Chapter of Sisters Network solicits your support of its 2^nd Annual First Ladies Luncheon. The event is scheduled for April 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. and will be held at the Magnolia Hotel, 1401 Commerce Street, Dallas, Texas 75202.

The luncheon is a community outreach effort geared primarily toward establishing effective partnerships with churches located in the city’s southern sector. The event will serve as an educational forum to not only promote breast cancer awareness but to also disseminate information regarding treatment, recommended physicians, and support and services available to patients following diagnosis.

We know that with your support this luncheon will be a tremendous success. The Dallas Chapter of Sisters Network appreciates your consideration and prays for your support in this important endeavor as we strive to “Stop the Silence” regarding breast cancer’s impact on the African American community.

Stop the Silence® 4th National African American Breast Cancer 5K Walk/Run

Sisters Network® Inc will be hosting the 4th National African American Breast Cancer 5K Walk /Run in Houston Texas on April 13th 2013.

Funds raised from Stop the Silence® will benefit Sisters Network® Inc. Breast Cancer Assistance Program (BCAP), which provides assistance to women facing financial challenges after breast cancer diagnosis. This program offers financial assistance for mammograms, medical related lodging, co-pay; office visits, prescriptions, and transportation.

6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope – Breast Cancer Walk

Sisters Network Dallas hosted the “6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope” Breast Cancer Walk and Expo on November 3, 2012 at the P. C. Cobb Complex in Dallas Texas.

The theme spotlighted the 6000 African American women who lose their fight with breast cancer in the United States each year.

Breast cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths among African American women. Sisters Network Inc. is a national organization on a mission to bring attention to the devastating impact of breast cancer on the African American community.

As a part of this organization, Sisters Network Dallas asks you to work with us to enhance our capacity to reach more women and men in the DFW area with the proven life-saving message of early detection and behaviors that promote breast health.

Proceeds from the 6000 Sisters, 6000 Steps for Hope Breast Cancer Walk and Expo help to support our local programs. These programs provide ongoing community education, fund mammograms for under or uninsured women, partner breast cancer survivors with recently diagnosed women, and support women facing financial challenges during treatment and more.
